Nassau Community College dominated from start to finish in a convincing 114–56 victory over Bronx Community College on Wednesday night at Garden City. The Lions built a massive first-half lead and never looked back, shooting over 60 percent from the field while forcing 27 turnovers on the defensive end. The Lions delivered one of their most complete performances of the season, combining efficient shooting with relentless defense to overwhelm Bronx Community College. Nassau's ability to share the ball, control the paint, and force turnovers proved decisive, as multiple players contributed on the scoreboard.
How It Happened
Nassau wasted no time setting the tone, opening the game with defensive pressure and efficient scoring to jump out to an early lead. After trading baskets in the opening minutes, the Lions rattled off a decisive run midway through the first half, sparked by Glen Mcbeth Jr, who knocked down multiple three-pointers to stretch the floor. Nassau's ball movement created open looks, and the Lions steadily widened the margin as Bronx struggled to protect the ball.
By the 10-minute mark of the first half, Nassau had already built a double-digit advantage and continued to extend it with transition baskets and second-chance points. The Lions closed the half on a dominant surge, taking a commanding 55–22 lead into the break after shooting over 60 percent in the opening 20 minutes.
The second half followed a similar script, as Nassau maintained its intensity on both ends. McBeth continued to score efficiently, while Amir Reushell-Sanders and Evan Pasik attacked the paint to keep the offense rolling. Nassau capitalized on Bronx turnovers throughout the half, turning defense into fast-break points and steadily pushing the lead past 40. With contributions from the bench and consistent defensive pressure, the Lions cruised to the 58-point victory.
