Nassau Community College men's golf took first place at the Region XV outing at Eisenhower Red Course, finishing with a team score of 355, outpacing Orange (364) and Westchester (380). The Lions were led by a first-place individual finish and strong depth throughout the lineup.
How It Happened
Nassau set the tone early behind a dominant round from Michael Kondyra, who earned medalist honors with an 83, finishing as the top individual in the field. His consistent play gave the Lions a strong foundation against a competitive Region XV field.
The Lions backed up that performance with key contributions across the lineup. Jack Falco turned in an impressive round of 88, finishing 5th overall and helping Nassau maintain separation from the rest of the field.
Thomas Wildeman added another strong score with an 89, placing just behind Falco and giving Nassau three golfers inside the top six. This trio proved to be the difference in securing the team victory.
Nassau's depth continued with Conor Mylett (95) and Anand Vikram (97), both finishing in the top 15 and providing critical scoring to round out the team total. Kevin Canto (105) also contributed as Nassau built a balanced scorecard across all competitors.
