  Coach Steven Lopez is a recent graduate from CUNY Baruch College with a Bachelor of Business Administration. Coach Lopez played as an outside hitter for the Baruch College Bearcats from 2017-2020. Coach Lopez transferred from Nassau Community College in 2016 and in his first season earned Rookie of the Year for the Bearcats. Coach Lopez also warned CUNYAC All-Tournament Team in 2018. Additionally, he was a member of the team that won the 2019 CUNYAC Championship and went on to play in the NCAA Tournament. 

    Prior to attending Baruch College, Coach Lopez attended Paul D. Schreiber HS where he  played on the varsity volleyball team all four years. He earned All-Tournament Team Honorable Mention (2012)...All-Tournament Team (2013-2014)...MVP (2013-2014)...Member of team that won Nassau County Championship (2013)...Named to All-County Team (2012-2014)...Long Island First Team awarded by Newsday (2013-2014)

    Lopez has coached at the high school and club volleyball level working at Sportime VBC as the Head Coach to one of its many boys' teams within the program, and as the assistant coach for Paul D. Schreiber High School Boys' Varsity Volleyball Team. On top of coaching, Coach Lopez is also currently a strength and sports performance personal trainer at Evolution Physical Therapy.
