(Poughkeepsie, NY) The Nassau Lions finished regular season play last weekend by taking on Dutchess Community College and Monroe College - Bronx.
First up were the Dutchess Falcons. The Lions dominated from the beginning, and finished handily in 3 sets. The final scores were 25-6, 25-8, and 25-15.
Destiny Knox tallied 7 kills and 8 digs, while
Kiara Tibbs had a total of 12 kills.
The Lions carried their momentum into the Monroe match. Again, the Lions took control from the first serve. They defeated the Tribunes in 3 sets. The scores were 25-9, 25-6, and 25-11.
Alicja Zaborowska had 21 assists and 4 aces, and
Destiny Hernandez recorded 5 kills and 3 aces.
The matches were a successful tune up for Nassau as they prepare to take on the Fashion Institute of Technology on Thursday to kick off the Region XV Championship Playoffs.
