Box Score (Garden City, NY) Monday night, the Nassau Men's Soccer team suited up for the second night in a row to take on D1 Junior College, ASA at home.
Fielding a team of mostly freshman, the men took the Avengers head on. The defense had some solid saves, and really kept the team alive. Unfortunately, ASA was in the zone, and made very few mistakes for the Lions to take advantage of. In the final 15 minutes, NCC offense had a few shots on goal, but it wasn't enough to push them past the deficit they were in. The Lions fell 3-0 to the ASA Avengers.
"I am happy with our effort tonight, and the team will learn from this very experienced team we played. I'm looking forward to our next game," stated Head Coach
Dan Fisher.
The Lions will be back with a fresh mindset on Saturday, September 2nd, ready to take on Genesee Community College in Rockville, Maryland.
