(Garden City, NY) The second ranked Lions hosted the Region XV NJCAA Lacrosse Championship against cross island opponent Suffolk Community College on Saturday. 

The Lions came out of the gate scoring four goals in the first quarter.  Eddie Munoz started the scoring with the first goal of the game with help from Braydon Cresswell's two goals and one goal from Michael Kadnar. The Lions scored another 4 goals in the second quarter, Munoz scored his second of the game while Justin Roderka, Jack Mullen and Dylan Villari added a goal a piece to help the lions take a commanding 8-0 lead into the half.

The Lions scored the first two goals of the third quarter, one from Villari and another from Munoz, bringing the score to 10-0. Suffolk did not score their first goal of the game until late in the third quarter bringing the score to 10-1 heading into the fourth quarter. Patrick Morris scored the first two goals of the fourth bringing the score to 12-1, Suffolk answered with two of their own to make it 12-3, then Nassau scored again with goals from Eddie Munoz and Michael Kadnar making the score 14-3.  Suffolk added a late goal to make the final 14-4.  

Offensive scoring - Eddie Munoz (4 goals, 1 assist), Braydon Cresswell (2 goals, 2 assists), Michael Kadnar (2 goals, 1 assist), Dylan Villari and Patrick Morris 2 goals each, Jack Mullen and Justin Roderka with 1 goal each, and Aldrich Cheng with 1 assist.  

The Lions defense was solid yet again holding Suffolk scoreless until the end of the third quarter. Billy Kelly played very well in the goal while Taylor Jensen, Brian Schaefer, Haze Rainis, Aidan Conk, Vincent Deceglia, Kevin Meaney, Scott Sasso, Tyler Butrico and Trevor Regnier led yet another solid defensive effort. 

This is the twelfth year in a row Nassau has won the Region XV Championship.
