On Saturday, the Nassau Lions hosted the #10 ranked Lackawanna Falcons at home for their fourth game of the 2018 season.

In the first half, the Falcons came out and scored 2 early touch downs to go up 14-0. Steve Genova got the Lions on the board before the end of the first quarter with a 7 yard reception from Jeremiah Nelson. Shortly after Genova ran a 4 yard touchdown into the end zone to tie up the score 14-14 early in the second quarter. NCC defense had a hard time keeping Lackawanna out of the red zone. By the end of the second quarter, the Lions were down 42-14.

Moving on to the second half, the Lions didn't give up. Jaelin Hood caught a 52 yard touchdown from Steve Genova to make the score 42-20. Lackawanna proved to be unstoppable. They ran the score up 51-20, until Nassau's Genova ran in for a 9 yard touchdown. The final score of the game was 51-26, Lackawanna.

Post game, Head Coach Jamel Ramsay commented, "The Vikings were a very good football team - one of the best in the country - and we showed up and competed today. I couldn't be happier with how close we started in the first half, but they were a talented team who dominated." The Lions are now 2-2 for the season.

Next up for Nassau is Louisburg College on Saturday at home.
