(Manhattan, NY) Women's Basketball traveled into Manhattan to compete against the Borough of Manhattan Community College. Going into the game, BMCC was 3-4 in region play.

Nassau jumped to a quick lead in the first half. NCC held Manhattan CC to only 9 points making the score 32-9 at the start of halftime.

Keeping their positive momentum alive, the Lions continued to apply pressure and they were able to successfully hold MCC to single digits for a second half in a row. Nassau came out victorious 80-44, Nassau Community College.

"We played hard, but as with any game, we have take aways that we need to improve on. We look to do this before we play Hostos on Tuesday." Commented assistant coach Andrew Montana after the game.Â

Lindsay McBean impressively scored all 15 of her points in the first half. Cherish Francis also recorded 15 points, while teammates BriAnna Jones and Bobbi Green both had 12 and 14, respectively. Ashley Barret rounded out the scoring for the Lions with 10.

Nassau is 7-1 in the conference and 11-4 overall. Next Tuesday, they play Hostos CC at home.
