(East Meadow, NY) On Sunday, the Women's Tennis team competed in a double header against Suffolk. The first game was a make up match from a previous set that was postponed because of weather.
Despite the strong winds, the women got out and played hard. In doubles, Nassau did everything they could to play solid defense against the Sharks offensive net game, but they weren't able to secure the victory. Between singles and doubles, the Lions fell to Suffolk 0-7.
The second game didn't yield the outcome that Nassau was chasing after either. The Lions finished 1-6.
"This was excellent match experience for all of the women. I could tell they were a little bit tired in the second set, but playing 2 matches in one day will help condition them for fatigue during tournament time. I'm proud of their performances today." stated Head Coach
Barry Kubit.
The last game of the 2019 regular season will be on Sunday, October 13th against the Fashion Institute of Technology.
