(Bel Air, MD) Nassau Women's Basketball competed in the final round of the Harford Hoops Classic on Saturday, November 30th. Their opponents was the Southern Maryland Hawks.

Nassau dominated the game from the beginning. They set the tempo and were up 24-11 at the end of the 1st quarter. By halftime, the Lions were up by a total of 16 points. Coming back from the halftime break, Nassau struggled. Southern Maryland upped their defense and outscored the Lions by 1 point in the 3rd quarter. NCC reset going into the final quarter of the game and went on a 12-2 run to secure their victory, 84-50.

Outstanding players of the game were Cherish Francis, who recorded 23 points and Abby Babatunde who tallied 17 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 steals. Gigi Faison and Emily Pohalski had 13 points and 14 points, respectively. Faison also had 3 rebounds and 4 steals, while Pohalski had 5 rebounds, 5 steals and 4 assists to help the Lions pull out the win.
