(New Rochelle, NY) On Thursday night, Nassau traveled North of Manhattan to take on Monroe-College Bronx. The Lions were coming off of an exhilarating 70-54 win against #1 ranked Hostos just 2 days prior.Â

For the first time in a few games, the Lions got out to a bit of a slow start. Monroe outscored them in the 1st quarter making the game, 17-15. Nassau channeled their energy from Tuesday night and went on a tear. They scored 36 points in the second quarter and held Monroe to just 5. The score going into halftime was 51-22. But the Lions didn't stop there. They came back from halftime and went on a 10-0 run in the 3rd quarter. They secured their roomy victory 84-47.

Leading the Lions in scoring was Giavanna Faison with 16 points. Bobbi Green was just behind her with 14, while Hannah Arbuse and Lindsay McBean both scored 10. Zarria Franklin had 4 steals.

This victory marks the 11th consecutive win for the season. The Lions stand 11-0 and 6-0 in conference play.Â

The Lions will stay on the road as they compete against Dutchess Community College on Saturday.
