(Garden City, NY) The first of a four game series between the Queensborough Tigers and Nassau Lions was held on Thursday.
Both teams got out to a slow start. It wasn't until the bottom of the third that the Lions took over. They scored a total of 12 runs during the inning. Mike Iacobellis,

Brandon Buchan,
Chris Morro, and TJ Toscano each had an RBI. In the fourth inning, the Tigers only managed to score 1 run. In the bottom of the fourth, the Lions scored a total of 5 addition runs to make the final score 17-1.
Pitcher Joe Wolf was credited with the victory for NCC. He threw a total of 5 innings, allowing only 4 hits and 1 run, while also striking out four batters.
As a team, the Lions totaled 7 hits. Toscano led the team as he drove in 5 runs on 3 hits in 4 at bats. Nassau didn't commit a single error, and recorded one home run on the day.
The Lions face Queensborough again at home on Friday with a double header away on Sunday.
