(Garden City, NY) The first of a four game series between the Queensborough Tigers and Nassau Lions was held on Thursday. 

Both teams got out to a slow start. It wasn't until the bottom of the third that the Lions took over. They scored a total of 12 runs during the inning. Mike Iacobellis, Nick Cavallo, Brandon Buchan, Chris Morro, and TJ Toscano each had an RBI. In the fourth inning, the Tigers only managed to score 1 run. In the bottom of the fourth, the Lions scored a total of 5 addition runs to make the final score 17-1.

Pitcher Joe Wolf was credited with the victory for NCC. He threw a total of 5 innings, allowing only 4 hits and 1 run, while also striking out four batters. 

As a team, the Lions totaled 7 hits. Toscano led the team as he drove in 5 runs on 3 hits in 4 at bats. Nassau didn't commit a single error, and recorded one home run on the day. 

The Lions face Queensborough again at home on Friday with a double header away on Sunday.
