(Garden City, NY) On Sunday, the Nassau Lions hosted a double header that completed a 4 game series against the Queensborough Tigers.
An early lead helped propel NCC from the beginning. The Lions were coming off of a 2 game win streak against the Tigers, and weren't looking to back down now. In the first inning, Nassau scored on a single by
Tucker Hahn to put them up by 2. Queensborough did everything they could to keep the game close and tied the game in the bottom of the first inning.
Nassau pulled away for good after they scored off of an error in the second inning. They scored 1 run in the third, 2 in the fourth, 2 in the sixth and 4 in the seventh. Mike Iacobellis and Hahn moved runners across the plate with RBIs in multiple innings. The final score was 12-2.
Andrew Williams was named the winning pitcher for Nassau. He allowed 5 hits and 2 runs over seven innings, while striking out 5 batters and walking one.
Tucker Hahn led the Lions, driving in 5 runs on 3 hits. He tallied an RBI on a single in the first, a single in the sixth and a double in the seventh. As a team the Lions racked up 12 hits overall.

Larry Minor commented after the game, "We saw the ball well today. We had multiple men collect multiple hits. We have one more game of the series, and I feel good about the pressure that the men will bring."
