(Garden City, NY) The final game of the 4 game series with the Lions and the Tigers from Queensborough commenced on Sunday afternoon. Going into the match, Nassau led the series 3-0. 

Both teams got out to a slow start with neither of them scoring in the first 2 innings. Nassau was the first to score in the top of the third, recording 1 run. Queensborough answered in the bottom of the third, scoring 2 runs and taking the lead. The game was scoreless until the seventh inning, where the Lions tied the game at 2 when Mike Iacobellis grounded into a double play, and managed to score one run. Nassau held off the Tigers until the bottom of the ninth inning, where they snuck in one run to go up 3-2 and take home the final victory of the series.

As a team the Lions tallied 9 hits in the game. Chris Morro, Tucker Hahn, and John Capozzoli all recorded multiple hits leading the team.

Next up for Nassau is the Monroe Community College three game series starting on Wednesday.
