The Nassau Community College men's volleyball team won both of its games at an NJCAA Region XV tri-match at Borough of Manhattan Community College on Saturday afternoon.
The Lions secured a 3-2 victory over Kingsborough Community College before sweeping hosts BMCC, 3-0. The wins see NCC improve to 4-10 overall on the season and 2-1 in Region XV play.
Game 1: NCC 3, KCC 2 (20-25, 25-15, 28-26, 18-25, 15-13)
Top performers
- Brian Sandmeier posted team-high totals of 10 kills and four services aces. He was credited with a game-best 26 digs.
- Nikolas James hit .143 and had nine kills.
- Hunter Dunn went for a game-best 29 assists and 11 digs.
Game 2: NCC 3, BMCC 0 (27-25, 27-25, 25-20)
Top performers
- Sandmeier hit .226 and led NCC with 10 kills and 14 digs. His six aces were a game-high.
- James went for eight kills and 13 digs.
- Dunn had 25 assists and six digs.
