Women's Volleyball Adds Two to Win Streak

Result

The Nassau Community College women's volleyball team earned two Region XV conference wins on Saturday afternoon, taking both matches by a score of 3-0, to continue their winning streak and improve to 9-0 on the season. Nassau currently stands at #11 in the nation in the NJCAA Week 4 poll.

How it Happened

  • Nassau took the first match against Westchester Community College by scores of 25-19, 25-10, and 25-16. The Lions totaled 27 kills and 11 service aces.
  • Against Rockland Community College, Nassau swept the match by scores of 25-10, 25-12, and 25-9. The Lions totaled 33 kills and 15 service aces.

Notes

  • Sarah Kollarik totaled 21 kills in both matches, and Hannah Clarke totaled 14 kills.
  • Setter Elizabeth Wagner recorded 41 total assists, and led in service aces with nine.
  • Libero Allison Salinas led the team in digs with 37. She set her season high for digs in a game in the match against Rockland with 20.
