Nassau Community College Track & Field: Elite Coaching, Real Support, and a Path to the Next Level
With head coach Eugenia Bradshaw at the helm, a landmark session with sprint science expert Dr. Ken Clark, and the mentorship of pro elite sprinter Miles Lewis, NCC Track & Field is committed to one thing: springboarding every athlete to the next level.
On April 9, 2026, the Nassau Community College track facility became something it has never quite been before, a high-performance sprint laboratory. Athletes laced up their spikes as usual, but what awaited them on the track went far beyond a typical practice. Cameras, timing systems, and the practiced eye of Dr. Ken Clark, one of the nation's foremost authorities on sprint biomechanics, were trained on every step, every drive, and every stride.
The session marked the debut of the MoVE (Model Vision Evaluation) assessment system at NCC a cutting-edge biomechanical analysis platform deployed at only a handful of programs across the country. In a single afternoon, NCC athletes received the kind of individualized, data-driven feedback typically reserved for Olympic training centers and Power Five university programs.
Who Is Dr. Ken Clark?
Dr. Ken Clark is among the most respected names in sprint science. A leading researcher in human locomotion and sprint mechanics, his work with the MoVE system has been applied at elite track & field programs, NFL franchises, and national-level sprinters preparing for major championships. His visit to NCC was a working session, athletes were filmed and analyzed across three phases of sprinting: the block start, the acceleration zone, and the maximum velocity fly. Each athlete received a detailed report with biomechanical measurements compared against elite-level normative data. For a community college program to access this level of expertise is a statement.
"This is the standard we hold ourselves to not what is common, but what is possible."
A New Vision — Coach Eugenia Bradshaw
At the center of this transformation is head coach Eugenia Bradshaw. Brought in to build the NCC Track & Field program from the ground up, Coach Bradshaw's philosophy is clear: invest fully in your athletes as competitors and as people and the results take care of themselves.
Her program is built around a single unwavering commitment: to give every athlete the tools, coaching, and support they need to springboard to the next level. That means elite training resources and biomechanical expertise that rivals the most competitive programs in the country. And it means standing behind athletes as students helping them navigate academics, build their futures, and leave NCC more capable and more prepared than when they arrived.
"Our commitment is to make sure that every athlete who comes here leaves with more than they arrived with," Coach Bradshaw has said. "More speed, more knowledge, more confidence, more options. We are here to open doors and to make sure our athletes are ready to walk through them."

Pro Elite Mentorship: Miles Lewis Invests in the Next Generation
One of the most compelling endorsements of what NCC is building comes from pro elite sprinter Miles Lewis. Lewis has made a personal commitment to the program not just as a supporter, but as a mentor, giving NCC athletes direct access to the perspective and experience of someone who has navigated the exact journey they are on. His willingness to show up, share lessons, and invest in the next generation reinforces what Coach Bradshaw has built into the program's culture from day one: that no ceiling exists here, and that the people who have broken through it are in your corner.
"Having someone who has been there who has done it and to invest in you personally changes what you believe is possible."

What the Testing Revealed
The MoVE assessments produced precise, individualized data for the athletes, from block setup angles and ground contact times measured in thousandths of a second, to frontside mechanics scores and thigh angular velocity at top speed. Every athlete left with a clear picture of exactly where they are mechanically and a prioritized roadmap for improvement. Block positions were measured and adjusted on-site. Coaching cues were matched to data rather than guesswork. The result is a training plan grounded in science, paired with a coaching eye, the same approach used to prepare sprinters for the Olympic Trials.
A Program That Invests in Its Athletes On and Off the Track
NCC's investment does not stop at the finish line. Academic advising, genuine athlete support, and a coaching staff that tracks the full picture of each athlete's college experience are built into the program's DNA not afterthoughts.
When an athlete finishes their time at NCC, they leave better prepared faster, stronger, more disciplined, better educated, and ready for whatever comes next. Whether that means transferring to a four-year university, competing at the national level, or stepping into a career with the work ethic that elite training builds, NCC is the springboard.
The Lions are building something real. If you want to be part of a program that takes you seriously as both an athlete and a student Nassau Community College Track & Field is exactly where you want to be.
