Jeremaiyh Burch entered the Pratt Invitational undefeated outdoors in any event.
He remained undefeated with a dominant victory in the 400 meters, clocking 48.74 to regain the NJCAA DIII lead while winning by over a full second. His time – the fastest in NJCAA DIII since 2023 and No. 6 all-time – was followed up by anchoring the Lions' 4×400 squad to win by over nine seconds in 3:27.42, rating them No. 3 this year nationally.
Burch possibly didn't even run his best event. He won the 800 in last week's Queens Knights Invitational by over seven seconds in 1:54.06 – the No. 2 performance in NJCAA DIII history.
This is the third time that a male athlete from Nassau has been named M-F Athletic National Athlete of the Week during the outdoor season. Burch joins Gabriel DaSilva (twice in 2018) in that regard.
