After graduating from Levittown Memorial High School, “Sonny” immediately established himself as an outstanding lacrosse attackman at Nassau CC. A two-year starter, Esposito became an all-American in 1978, leading the Lions to another national title. He earned a scholarship to the University of Virginia and once again earned all-American honors.
