On a national championship women’s soccer team filled with all-Americans in 1984, Caparella was the Lions’ leading scorer from her striker position. “Robin had an amazing nose for the ball,” said coach Larry DellAquila. “That was the first women’s team at Nassau to win a national title and she was one of the main reasons we won it.”
