Compiled an amazing two-year pitching record of 18-0 (10-0 as a freshman and 8-0 as a sophomore). Not coincidentally, the Lions won the regional title both years. In 1986, he pitched Nassau to victory in the quarterfinals of the NJCAA tournament, helping the team place fifth in the nation. He was unbeaten again in 1987 while earning all-Region honors.
