This Air Force veteran came to Nassau in 1965 and began a distinguished wrestling career. After two years at Nassau and two at Brockport, he became Brockport’s coach in 1970. Since then, the Golden Eagles have won five NCAA titles and 36 SUNY crowns. Among many of honors, Murray has been named the state Coach of the Year three times, National Coach of the year twice, and was inducted into the NCAA Division III and New York State coaches Hall of Fame.
