Ernie was an outstanding crease attackman in lacrosse and played quarterback on Nassau’s nationally-ranked football team. Not only did he help the Lions win the NJCAA lacrosse title in consecutive years, but he was the team’s leading scorer both years. He went on to earn all-American recognition at Cortland.
