An excellent defenseman who starred on consecutive national junior college lacrosse championship teams at Nassau in 1974 and 75. Ament earned all-American honors while playing for the Lions. He went on to become an all-American at the University of Massachusetts after which he spent 15 years as a valuable assistant coach at Nassau CC.
