Burst onto the scene by defeating nationally-ranked four-year college opponents on the way to winning the 141-pound championship at the prestigious East Stroudsburg tournament--in his first collegiate competition. Went on to become a two-time wrestling all-American, placing third and second in the NJCAA tournaments in 2003 and 2004. Earned a scholarship to North Carolina State.
