In more than two decades as Nassau’s coach Ed Mack has seen many track and field performers. According to Mack, “there has been no other (male) field athlete as good as Shaun.” A two-time all-American, Haughton was a national champion in the shot-put and discus in 2007, and was named the country’s most valuable field performer.
